Al Rempel

I’ve been writing poetry for over 30 years. I currently have three books of poetry: Undiscovered Country, This Isn’t the Apocalypse We Hoped For, and Understories. I also have a few chapbooks, one which was published in collaboration with local artist Mo Hamilton. I have also collaborated with artists in the creation of video poems, some of which have been screened internationally. I have helped organize ekphrastic poetry events at a local art gallery, where poets wrote original work inspired by the artwork on display. More recently, some of my poems have been translated into Italian and Spanish.

What is your dream project?

I would love to create more video poems, either with a videographer or an animator.
