Succession

Mark Thibeault is a painter currently residing in Telkwa, BC whose work is expressionist in nature. When creating a painting, he will depict basic lines and shapes that he discerns from his subjects, such as architecture, or the natural environment. Thibeault will often alter his paintings, many times, in order to create a richly layered and complex surface. Succession embodies these techniques and includes both expressive and figurative paintings that are inspired by the changing landscape in North Western BC, influenced by both humans and natural phenomena.
