Friends I’ve Met

Elmer Gunderson is a sculptor based in Prince George BC, who works in various media. Friends I’ve Met features a series of figurative sculpture inspired by people that Gunderson has met in real life, and also form his imagination. Each figure in this exhibition has a story associated with them. Gunderson has gone so far as to provide the sculptures with props, such as fishing roads and wine glasses, in order to give further context to these stories. Gunderson’s goal with this work was to give each sculpture the appearance of being alive.
