Woodburning with Hailey Smith: Intro to Wall Art & Watercolours

Interested in learning the art and therapeutic practice of pyrography? Woodburning calms the soul and provides a great opportunity to explore your creative side with other like minded people.

In this six week class, you will have the ability to complete a set of coasters, and woodburn your very own wall art to display in your home, or give as a gift to a loved one. This is an 16+ workshop.

All skill levels are welcome, whether you are a beginner, or have intermediate experience with the tools and have taken a class previously. No previous drawing skills are required for this class, however if you feel compelled, feel free to bring your sketchbook or printed image from home and we can transfer your desired images to the wood canvas as well.

Hailey Smith, local artist and owner of The Tamed Arsonist, will give various techniques such as line work, shading, transferring images to a wood canvas, oiling your board, drawing on a wood canvas and adding colour using watercolour paints.
