Through various approaches, from narrative compositions to abstraction, her mark-making becomes a form of resistance, asserting space for resilience and defiance.

Modaressi is an Iranian-Canadian visual artist, filmmaker, and educator based in Vancouver. Her multidisciplinary approach combines design expertise and a mastery of various media, exploring the complexities of everyday life, delving into the intersections of personal experience, political upheaval, and the often-overlooked currents of violence that shape human existence.
